Meet and interact on a personal level with members of the Schaumburg Police Department by participating in the Citizen Police Academy. Classes are held Wednesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. beginning March 8 and run for 10 weeks. Participants will experience many facets of law enforcement with class topics that are both interesting and informative covering patrol, investigations, support services and training. The experience is not limited to classroom lectures alone. Participants will take part in a patrol ride-along, participate in firearms training on the range, and practice mock traffic stops. Polar Plunge Sunday February 19, 2017 at 12:00 Noon

On behalf of CPAAAS, the Schaumburg Police Dept. and the Village of Schaumburg, we would like to invite our membership to come out and help us cheer on the Police Officers who will be taking the Polar Plunge.

This event is on Sunday February 19, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at Twin Lakes in Arlington Heights. Check in is at 10:00 and the event will take place promptly at 12 noon.

The members of the Schaumburg Police Dept who will be jumping in include our very own Sgt Lindhurst. To date she has raised $110 for Special Olympics, and along with other officers have raised almost $3,000. The goal is $5,000 before the event.

Anyone wishing to donate may do so by going to the Special Olympic website and clicking on the Polar Plunge in Arlington Heights.

We are hoping for a good CPAAAS turnout to support our Dept. Please come on out and help us cheer them on, but be sure to dress for the weather.

Hope to see you all there.
