Post Office/Township Food Drive – May 9, 2009
Approximately 15 CPAAAS volunteers showed up at various times at the Schaumburg Township during the day on May 9th. As with previous years, the post office trucks pulled up to the front doors and our CPAAAS volunteers unloaded the donated bags of food into grocery carts. We then pushed the carts into the gym inside the building and unloaded them on to tables where more volunteers took the food out of the bags and put it in boxes to be weighed and brought downstairs for sorting.
The Township grilled hot dogs and brats for all the volunteers and fun was had by all despite the hard work.
