Sgt. Nebl stopped by and read a thank you letter from the Fraternal Order of Police and the SPD for the CPAAAS contribution to the 15th Annual Shop with the Cop.
Our guest speaker, Toshiko Lukens from the IL Secretary of State, was extremely knowledgeable on the various topics she covered. Our website will be updated soon with pictures and notes from her guest appearance.
In 2009, CPAAAS had 41 alumni who signed up for 22 volunteer assignments and worked a total of 558 hours! Thanks to ALL volunteers for your time and dedication! We honored the top five CPAAAS volunteers who contributed the most hours in 2009 by giving each a Certificate of Appreciation award and a Starbucks gift certificate. The top five volunteers are: Tom Conaway (69 hrs), John Mydlach (55 hrs), Ken Marshall (32.75 hrs), Mary Ghilardi (29.50 hrs) and Alice Burnette (23.75 hrs). I’m thinking about having CPAAAS nominated for Schaumburg’s 2009 Group Volunteer of the Year award.
The 50/50 Raffle was a success with $90 worth of tickets sold! Congratulations to Pat Zikomski for having the lucky ticket and winning $45. The other $45 will be deposited in the Operating Fund. The alumni present felt that we should continue the 50/50 Raffle not only at the Thursday General/Open BOD meetings, but at the regular Monday Open BOD meetings as well so be sure to attend and take a chance at winning some extra cash.
Please note that our next Open BOD meeting is Monday, February 8th at 7pm at the SPD. |
