Fuddrucker's Benefit Night - posted 8/31/2009
Just a friendly reminder that the first Tuesday of every month is the CPAAAS Benefit Night at Fuddrucker's on Golf Road where CPAAAS will receive 20% of your ticket total. Most alumni meet between 5:30 & 6:00 pm. Please pick up a coupon in the reserved seating area before ordering your meals.

Our next Benefit Night is this Tuesday, September 1st. All are welcome. Bring your family and friends.
Meeting Agenda - August - posted 8/8/2009

The agenda for the August meeting is now available.

Everyone is being affected by the tough economic times facing our country today, including our own Schaumburg Police Department (SPD). The SPD needs CPAAAS volunteers now more than ever.

Let me repeat….

Your Schaumburg Police Department needs you!!!

I am requesting that all of you PLEASE attend our Open BOD meeting Monday, August 10th at 7 pm in the downstairs class room.

Sgt. John Nebl will be joining us to explain the upcoming volunteer opportunities for CPAAAS alumni in August, September and October. We especially need a lot of volunteers for the SPD booth at SeptemberFest! The SPD budget allows for one officer per day on Saturday and Sunday only, so they need our help ALL Labor Day weekend!!!

Other events where volunteers are needed include the Aviation Fest, SFD Open House, Children’s Fair and Pepsi Roadeo. The SPD needs eager CPAAAS volunteers who are willing to engage the public, talk with them and get involved on behalf of the SPD.
(Please try to keep in mind that these are not CPAAAS social events.)

The CPAAAS Mission statement includes the following: “The purpose of this Association shall be to assist and support the Village of Schaumburg and the Schaumburg Police Department in its overall mission. The association will promote awareness through volunteerism.”

So get ready to sign up and help out our police department. Don’t forget that we’re keeping track of all the volunteer hours you put in throughout the year. Those with the most volunteer hours could win a gift at the end of 2009 and there are only five months left!!

I hope to see you all on Monday, August 10th.
