Schaumburg Township - 4/23/2009
On Thursday, April 23, 2009, at our monthly meeting the guest speakers were Sandy Wolf and Lin Greidanus from The Schaumburg Township General Assistance Office. They covered many of the programs that are available to Township residents including the Food pantry, Energy assistance, Emergency assistance, General assistance, Access to Care (this fills the gap for the uninsured). They refer people to other Social Service agencies and have an adopt a family Christmas Program.
These are just a few of the things that are available to us as Schaumburg Township residents. This is provided to us through our property tax dollars and donations.
Thanks to those of you that brought a contribution for the pantry to the meeting.
