2006 News Archive September 27, 2006 Greetings: This communiqué is arriving later than usual due to technical difficulties at Yahoo. They have been working on their email issues for two weeks. I have decided to populate seven new lists of twenty-five addresses. Yahoo will allow for lists of twenty five to qualify as a Bcc. I will need to send out seven emails (no more than one each half hour) each time we have information for you. If you receive more than one email from me at one time, please send me an email back so that I can correct the listings. With seven listings, I may have entered duplicate names. I just wish I was a techy guru. Maybe there was an easier way to circumvent their problems. Pat Z., Pauline W., Maureen G., Geneva B., John M., Joan C., and I and collated 34 CPA ring binders on Saturday, September 16, from 1:00-6:30 p.m.. The binders were provided to fall CPA members this past Wednesday. The next Fuddruckers (Golf Road) social gathering will be on Tuesday, October 3rd, at 6:30 p.m. CPAAAS September Open Board Meeting will be on Monday, October 9th at 7 p.m in the Schaumburg Police Department downstairs classroom. All are welcome to attend. The next general meeting will be on October 26th at 7 p.m... Cheryl Channic, of the state treasurer’s office, will present on the topic of identity theft. CPAAAS will be collecting paper food certificates (Jewel, Dominick’s, etc.) from all who care to participate. These certificates will be provided to needy families in the area just before Thanksgiving. These food store certificates can be given to CPAAAS at any of the upcoming meetings or mailed to CPAAAS, P.O. Box 681003, Schaumburg 60168. Carson Community Day will be Saturday, November 11th. This year CPAAAS will not be working at the store. The coupon books sell for five dollars each and can be purchased from Jan Richardson at any of the upcoming meetings. You may call Jan at 1-630-872-8719 to order coupon books. Each book contains, among other values, a ten dollar coupon and other savings ranging from 8-20 percent. CPAAAS needs to sell a minimum of fifty books. Shop with a Cop will be on Sunday, December 3rd. Other fall dates to note: 11/7 Fuddruckers 11/13 Open Board Meeting canceled Sincerely, Gary Clair, CPAAAS Secretary Monday 9/11/06 Greetings CPAAAS Members, I learned this evening that the Fall CPA ring binder manuals will be put together this coming Saturday (9/16) at 1 p.m. in the police Community room. Not having helped with this in the past, I was curious as to how big a task this project really is and learned that this could well be a six or seven hour project. I also learned that a few people have done a great deal of work on this project in the past. It seems that there cannot be too many to help on this project. Might you have a few hours that you could spend helping with this manual compilation? Thirty five people have signed up for the Fall CPA. This will be a big class and as a result, many manuals have to be put together. If you can help, please call John Mydlack on his cell phone. He can be reached at 847-606-6317. Please help if you can. Thanks, Gary Clair CPAAAS Correspondence Secretary |
