General Meeting

We will be discussing the upcoming holiday seasonal events: Thanksgiving Food Baskets, Shop with a Cop, Adopt A Family Christmas and our annual Wrap Party. We will be collecting food gift certificate for the Thanksgiving Food Baskets at this meeting. Also, we will be taking up a collection to purchase them.
Also, if you would like to make a food donation to the Pantry they are in need of cereal, peanut butter & jelly, spaghetti sauce, rice, canned pastas and tuna. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.

Detective Chris Nowicki was the guest speaker. Det. Nowicki conducts financial / ID Theft investigations and spoke about those topics and how we canprotect ourselves from these types of crimes. This continues to be a growing problem and can seriously impact our lives. There are new methods of protection coming up all the time as these criminals continue to perfect their methods. Chris will cover financial/identity theft investigations, how the cases are prosecuted, difficulty in prosecution, evidentiary concerns. He devoted a significant block of time to identity theft prevention and ways to safeguard your personal information. This included steps to take for consumers once they become a victim and steps needed to clear their name. He also talked about several other "scams" which are popular today and to be on the lookout for, including the exploitation of the elderly

Clare Selke, the wife of Schaumburg High School Athletic
Director (and friend of CPAAAS) John Selke lost her battle with cancer. A
memorial mass will be held on Saturday, April 3 at 11:00 am at Church of the
Holy Spirit (
Saturday, April 24th is the annual Village clean up day. Pauline Willis is collecting names of CPAAAS members who are willing to spend a Saturday morning helping to “spruce up” the village.

Our speaker, Mr. Santercier, is a retired
Illinois Police State Trooper and has worked in the gangs crime unit. His talk
was on his experiences with this unit and his current employment.
