Greetings CPAAAS Members: Oct. News

The news of the month includes:

1)      CPAAAS will continue to provide service to the police department and other community groups.

The police department (John Nebl) intends to communicate with Jim regularly on upcoming needs that might be filled by CPAAAS Members.

The lack of meaningful work was one of the topics that received attention at our last meeting.

Also, Carla volunteered to revive the CPAAAS Newsletter in the future.

2) John will have the Fuddruckers slips on Tuesday, November 6th.

He has indicated that he will run off extra copies for future use also.

4)The November Open Board Meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 12th at 7 p.m. in the police department classroom.

I am in high hopes that all of the CPAAAS needs will be outlined ( e.g. Shop with A Cop, Wrap Party, Assisting the needy)at this meeting with specific times

and assignments that need to be filled between now and December 30, 2007.

An update from the Oct 8, 2007 Meeting

The open board meeting that was held on Monday Oct. 7th was positive and eye opening meeting.

CPAAAS has taken productive steps to get more people involved in the association.

With the help of Sgt. Nebl, the association has set up a Revitalization Committee.

The committee will come up with ideas in the many areas; here are a few of the areas:

A.     Membership

B.     Fund Raising

C.     SPD Events

D.     Community Events

E.      Socials Events

I want to thank the people who signed up for the committee, for taken the time and caring about the association.

We have a new newsletter editor (Carla); I want to thank her for stepping up to the plate to do this.

The newsletter will be posted on the website when it is finished.

Like I said in the beginning of this letter it was eye opening and positive to hear peoples concerns about the association.

I think the association has taken positive steps to make the association even better.

                                    Jim Novotny

                                    President
